Mixed League team structures & player management - League Plan

Skill Level Registration

Every Individual player must register under the skill level that best matches their ability:

  • Newbie
  • Beginner
  • Intermediate-I
  • Intermediate-II
  • Advanced

It is the responsibility of each player to honestly assess and select the category that best reflects their current playing level.

Team Formation Model :

Based on the total number of registrations received in each skill category, TTC will decide one of the following team formation approaches:

  • Option-1: Fully Mixed Balanced Teams

Players from all skill levels will be combined and distributed evenly to create balanced teams,

  • Option-2: Skill-Based Grouping Teams

- Newbie & Beginner players grouped together

- Intermediate-I, Intermediate-II & Advanced players will be combined and distributed evenly to create balanced teams.

This structure will be selected based on participation volume in each category to ensure fair play and meaningful learning and competition.

Note:

This rule is to ensure that registered players remain fully committed throughout the league. Since this a mixed league, the idea is to register, play and grow together as a team.

Team Representative / Captain:

Once TTC finalizes and forms the teams, each team will internally select their own captain.

  • Team players will collectively choose a captain from within their assigned team.
  • The selected captain must be communicated to TTC by the team members.
  • TTC will officially recognize the nominated captain after confirmation

The captain will act as the main point of contact between the team and TTC for league-related updates, coordination, and communication.

Player Replacement:

If a registered player is unable to participate in the upcoming league due to unavoidable circumstances such as work commitments, family emergency, or medical reasons, the following policy will apply:

  • The team may request a replacement for the unavailable player.
  • The team may replace that player with a new one, once the team submits their request for replacement of player form to the TTC for the approval. Upon approval by TTC - replacement shall be made.
  • Valid supporting proof must be submitted to TTC for review.
  • Upon verification, TTC may allow the team to replace the player with a new eligible participant.

Note:

  • TTC reserves the full right to accept or reject any replacement request.
  • All decisions will be made based on fairness, league balance, and eligibility rules.

Responsibility of Captain:

Team Alignment :  Captains are responsible for ensuring their team is organized, present, and ready to play.

Punctuality :  Captains must ensure that their team arrives ahead of time and ensure their team is present before the game starts.

Warm-Up & Safety :  Captains should make sure players warm up properly to avoid injuries and muscle soreness.

Game Schedule:  Captains must strictly follow the games schedule and ensure their team is ready when called to play.

Representation :  As the front person for the team, the representative speaks on behalf of the team to TTC and ensures that all communications are clearly understood by both sides.

Information Relay :  Captains serve as the single point of contact, responsible for communicating all TTC updates and instructions to their team players.

Weekly Player Unavailability & Substitute System :

If a registered player is unable to participate in a perticulat week of the league, the following system will apply:

  • Sub Pool System

TTC will maintain a Substitute Player Pool (Sub Pool) consisting of registered players who are available to play on a weekly basis.

  • Weekly Sub Request

 > If a team has a player unavailable for a specific week, the team captain must inform TTC once the weekly sub request is released.

> TTC will then coordinate and assign a subsitute player for that week.

  • Process Sub assignment process

> Substitute players will be selected from the sub pool.

> Assignment will be based on :

- Closed matching skill level to the unavailable player

- First-come, first-served basis from available sub pool players

> TTC will ensure fair balance and competitive integrity while assigning substitutes.

Note:

  • Substitutes are assigned only for that specific week
  • Players in the sub pool are not permanently attached to any team
  • TTC reserves the right to make final decisions on all subsitute assignments

League Game / Play Policy  :

  • All players must be at the court before the game starts. This shows the players responsibility, sportsmanship, and commitment to your team. Being on time also allows proper warm-up, receiving updates, and ensures games start smoothly. Late players will not be allowed to play that respective game, if the game has already started before their arrival. Teams must continue with the players present on the court.

Minimum number of players for a team to start the game : 5 Players on court.

If failed to have minimum of 5 players on court, before the respective game starts - Opponent team will get a Win point.

The Referee will wait for only 3 minutes after occupying  the referee stand to start the game. Team captains are responsible for assembling their players on the court within this time. If players are not ready, the referee will start the game without waiting. If both teams fail to have a minimum 5 players on each side at the start, the game will be declared a bye, and no team will receive win points.

All the above guidelines will help us maintain fair play and ensure that all teams are balanced and prepared. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
