League team structures & player management

  • Total League Teams Capacity :

> TTC Spring leagues can accommodate a maximum of 6 teams ONLY.

> Max Regular Player registration spots : 42.

> Once the registrations are closed, TTC will form the teams, from the registered players.

  • Team Allocation & Formation :

TTC will organize teams based on individual player registrations. We aim to form a separate Beginner team exclusively from player who register under the beginner category. Players registering under intermediate and advanced categories will be mixed in teams and grouped accordingly.

Note:

To establish a dedicated beginner team, a min of 14 beginner players is required. If fewer than 14 beginner players register, the beginner team will not formed. In this case, all players will be integrated into mixed teams, combining players from all skill levels.

  • Player Level Adjustment:

Triangle Throwball Club (TTC) reserves the right to reassign players to different levels as needed for appropriate placement. This ensures that each player is placed in a level best suits their abilities and promotes fair competition.

  • Team Composition:

Each team will have 7 players

  • Team Representative / Captain:

Once the teams are formed, the players within each team will choose a team representative. The selected representative must be communicated to the TTC for official recognition.

  • Player Replacement:

If a registered player is unable to participate in the league, the team may replace that player with a new one or check with TTC to see if they can provide one. In either case, the team must notify TTC before proceeding. Additionally the replacement player will be required to pay a registration fee based on the number of weeks remaining in the league.

  • Responsibility of Team Representative:

Weekly Communication :  The team representative must inform TTC on a weekly basis if any substitutions are needed.

Liaison Role  :  They act as the primary point of contact by discussing and conveying team-related matters to TTC.

Representation :  As the front person for the team, the representative speaks on behalf of the team to TTC and ensures that all communications are clearly understood by both sides.

Information Relay :  They are responsible for passing any information received from TTC to all team members in timely manner.

  • Substitution Players :
  • Substitution players will be assigned by the TTC upon the respective team's request.
  • The substitution will be made from the pool of registered substitutes available. If TTC is unable to provide a substitute player, the team will be required to play with the number of players present.

  • Substitution coordination :
  • Once a substitution players is assigned to a team, it is the team representative's responsibility to promptly contact the substitute.
  • The representative must inform the substitute of game the player is scheduled to play and specify that the respective player has to report at courts 20mins before the scheduled game time.

Important Note to Team Representatives & Substitutes:

  • Once a substitute is assigned to a team, the respective team representative will reach out to substitute.
  • Team Representative have to inform the substitute regarding the number of games substitute is expected to play for the assigned week.
  • Substitute has to ensure with the team representative regarding the time   expected to be present at the courts.
  • Once the team representative has committed a specific number of games to substitute, it cannot be changed without substitute prior notice. If any such changes occur on/before game day without your agreement, please reach out to TTC Organizers immediately.

If a substitute is initially requested for three games, it is not fair for the team to reduce the number of games because the regular player has changed her mind or decides to play.

Any such changes must be communicated to the substitute in advance. If the assigned sub is okay with the change then its fine. However, if the substitute is not in agreement, they must be allowed to play the number of games they were initially asked for.

Please note that priority is always given to the regular, registered players, but we also respect the time, effort, and availability of our substitutes. However, the team or regular players cannot alter the pre-committed number of games allocated to the substitute, even if the regular player wishes to join at the last minute or extend their playtime for the respective week that they asked for a substitute.

These guidelines will help us maintain fair play and ensure that all teams are balanced and prepared. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
